Tactical Asset Allocation

Our tactical asset allocation portfolios are designed to take advantage of shorter-term performance momentum and market volatility that is clearly evident in the price movement of the primary global asset classes.  Because these tactical asset allocation strategies involve monthly trading, this approach is much more active compared with our strategic and target allocation portfolios.  The proprietary trading strategy we have developed with this approach is entirely rules-based in its execution.  As a result, we feel our program offers a highly disciplined way to take advantage of global market volatility, avoiding the typical speculative methodologies that characterize most momentum strategies.

Our tactical asset allocation models can be used on either a stand-alone basis or blended together with our strategic models as a way to combine the best investment attributes of both individual approaches.  Our tactical strategy is particularly effective with tax advantaged accounts which are not sensitive to potential short-term capital gains taxes due to the monthly trading activity associated with this approach.

Each of our tactical asset allocation model portfolios has undergone rigorous quantitative analysis and qualitative review for integrity of construction design, validity of performance attributes and overall presentation effectiveness.  Collectively, they represent a truly compelling, best-in-class offering of diversified investment vehicles for longer term investors desiring a structured, disciplined, and extremely cost-effective way to build and preserve financial security.

In addition to the firm’s primary focus on high quality index-oriented fund solutions, client portfolios may also involve the ownership of actively managed mutual funds, exchange traded funds, individual stocks, taxable or tax-exempt bonds, alternative  investments or other non-discretionary assets.  In these situations, client needs will be qualified on a case-by-case basis with respect to overall account administration, portfolio composition, tax strategies, and diversification objectives as part of a total investment management relationship.
